Carl's latest single "Happy Thoughts" is an up tempo pop funky instrumental with a trumpet arrangement that will remind you of Herb Alpert, and funky keyboard and guitar grooves that would remind you of Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Carl said the arrangement was  based on the happy thoughts he would have as a youngster when ever moms and pops would take the family to the drive-in movies. Carl said Intermission was the best part of the evening, with pop corn, pizza, sodas, and the music of past greats like Herb Alpert, Sammy Davis Jr, James Brown, and the Beatles, made the evening one big happy event.
